About the project

WHAT:

A website with geographical, historical and cultural information for two different areas, one in Slovakia and one in Iceland. The website will be translated to English, Slovak and Icelandic. It will contain interactive GIS-maps with GPS-information about places, photos and links to other websites related to our subject.

FOR WHOM:

Tourists of all ages from all over the world (especially tourists from Slovakia and Iceland) who wants to experience something new in the spirit of ecotourism.

HOW:

Collect GPS information about both cultural and natural heritage, protected areas, activities, camps, cottages, hotels, festivals and restaurants. Make a website where all the information is collected in maps. Collect useful links and add photos from the areas.

Notes:

Write a logbook.

Try to find utility for GIS in the project.

Try out applications for GPS-coordinates via E-mail, SMS and QR-code.
